As promised by President Akufo Addo during his campaign
for the presidency to elect an independent prosecutor to see to corruption cases in Ghana has been fulfilled.
Mr. Akoto Ampaw ,a lawyer specialized in commercial law,company law,litigation and Industrial has been elected to fill that position.
This has come as a surprize to many as majority of aGhanaians tipped Mr. Martin Amidu who leaked the Albert Wayome's defrauding case to the public and criticized the previous government hugely for most of its transactions, to hold that position.
Without a doubt Mr. Amoro Ampaw is one of Ghana's finest lawyers but the question most Ghanaians are seeking to ask is how independent. He will be with his strong affiliation with the current government,represented the Party as their in the election court and also a lawyer in the Law firm owned by Pres Akufo Addo.
With his ties With the current government won't there be interference in his work? How independent will his office.
