As appraised by Ex President John Mahama in his last days in office,the NSS allowance enjoyed
about 20% increment.Thus from Ghs350.00 to Ghs559.00.
Much concern was raised as to whether the new government will seek to go by this increment as the NSS personnels sought to hit the streets to demonstrate on it's delayance.
The Government of Ghana has acceded to pay their allowance by 1st April,2017.
"While thanking the government for it's positive response to Management's request for the increment ,Management wishes also to express its gratitude to national service personnel for their patience and fruitful periodic engagements and discussions with Management on the subject matter",Said by Acting Executive Director,Mustapha Ussif in a press release.
