Records are meant to be broken right? Sure! Braveheart Expedition with their 2nd Edition of hiking
has performed this herculean task.
It all started at Anum ,a town on the Akuapem hills to Labolabo in Akosombo. To make it more exciting and competitve, the 14 hikers were divided into two groups,Delta One and Delta Two with 7 members each.
Delta One came first ,just three minutes ahead of Delta Two.
Hikers were conveyed to Anum just in front of the Chief's palace with all their essentials in their backpack. With their maps in their possession the hikers head through the Pra-Anum forest reserve ,descending the Discovery Rock with their ropes enjoying some of the fruits and incredible scenery on top of the Akuapem mountain through to Akosombo in their 6-hour walk. The team appreciated the love and the support of inhabitants of the various villages they passed.
Reaching the shores of the Volta Lake, some of the team members left no stone unturn as they dip themselves in the lake to reinvigorate.Few minutes from there , the hikers left for Camp Labolabo at the Survival Island ,their destination.
"It wasn't easy but i am glad i was able to achieve this feat.I love adventure and i am very delighted i signed up for this. It's really a great experience with tremendous health benefits.I appreciate Bravehearts Expedition coming up with event.I'm all up for the next one.", said Dixon Gavivi one of the hikers and a member of Delta Team One.
The coach of the of the hiking also has this to say," We of Bravehearts Expedition seek to be more adventurous as possible. It's great having these guys overcoming their fear and taking this challenge. A new adventure is on it's and we looking for more people to sign up. The more the merrier, you know."
