The suicide cases can't rest. Not too long ago ,Nigeria launched a hotline for persons seeking to
commit suicide in a bid to halt the frequent cases of suicide but it seems it is doing very little for it's intended purpose.
In a small town called Nkpor-agu closed to Onitsha in Anambra State,a married woman for 8 years was found hanging on a rope tied to a ceiling fan in a single room appartment shared with her husband.
Mrs.Lovina Odo , a petty trader was married to Mr.Okechukwu Odo a car washer for 8 years without a child and many people believe that it's the reason for her death.
As said by Mr. Odo, he returned from work around 6:30 pm with a tuber of yam upon his wife's request for meal in the evening. He was met a lot of people at his doorstep.Asking why they've gathered there ,he was then told the wife has committed suicide. He couldn't fathom what may have urged her to do that because they've never had any quarrel or whatsoever.
"No suicide note was seen around her but preliminary investigation reveals that she might have committed suicide because she had no child", claimed Divisional Police Officer of Ogidi Community,CSP Hassan Musa.
