Shondel Williamson has been in an abusive relationship with lover Alfred De Younge approximately
10 years.She has two kids with Alfred.Upon realizing the effects of this abusive relationship, she gathered the courage to end it and left with her two children.
She got herself going with a decent job ,earning enough to take care of her kids.As reported by Capitol news ,her ex lover concealed his identity by dressing up like a woman and entered Shondel's friend apartment where she was staying with her kids in Amsterdam Berbice ,Guyana. Alfred poured acid on her causing severe burns to her nose,eyes and upper body yelling "if i can't have you,no one else can".
She has spent nine weeks at the hospital in fighting for her life.Her face has disfigured to a point that Doctors have arranged for her to be conveyed to a better health facility abroad to save her sight and reconstruct her face.
An NGO,Saving Hands Emergency Aid ,has come to her rescue,ready to fund her treatment in a renowned hospital in the United States.
She is seeking to be an ambassador for change, fighting to end domestic violence and encouraging people in abusive relationship to flee before it ends bad for them
