A group of specialized Engineers
have built arguably the most spectacular and efficient
artificial sun in
Germany.
These Engineers have cited their
work in a three storey building at the German Aerospace Center in Juelich,West
of Cologne
The artificial sun composition is
of 149 separate xenon short arc spotlights arranged in a bee honeycomb style
and could produce a temperature up to 3000° in all weather conditions
This project became necessary due
to the scientists looking for other avenues to making hydrogen in view of
investigating new climate-friendly fuels
Though the sun is miles away, and
naturally way hotter than an artificial sun, because this sun is cited on
earth, it can produce up to 10,000 times the amount of solar radiation over the
same area just as the sun would
The beautiful thing about this
artificial sun is, it can do its specific job in all weather conditions unlike
the natural sun, which is seasonal.
